Data and purposes

The contact form sends your name, email address and message to handle your request. Processing is based on our legitimate interest in responding to visitors or, depending on the request, pre-contractual steps you ask us to take. Do not send sensitive data.

Technical data such as your IP address, connection date, browser and requested pages may be logged by hosting services to operate and secure the site, based on our legitimate interest.

The budget calculator runs in your browser: entered amounts are not sent to the site. GLOBAL HOTEL GUIDE does not process payments or bank details for bookings made through external services.

Technical cookies

A session cookie secures the contact form. Cookies strictly necessary for the service are separate from advertising trackers, which require consent where applicable.

Google AdSense advertising

The site uses Google AdSense. Third-party providers, including Google and its advertising partners, may use cookies or identifiers to serve and measure ads based on your visits to this or other sites. Personalised advertising depends on your consent choices where consent is required.

You can manage personalisation in the Google ad settings, review the information about how Google uses data and the choices offered by third-party advertising providers. Browser settings also let you delete or restrict cookies; disabling personalisation does not necessarily remove all ads.

Recipients and external services

When you visit a hotel website or booking platform, its privacy policy applies. GLOBAL HOTEL GUIDE does not sell your contact data.

Retention and security

Messages are retained as long as needed for handling and follow-up, then deleted or archived where a legal obligation or the defence of a right justifies it. Retention of technical logs and advertising data depends on their purpose and the provider’s rules.

Technical and organisational measures aim to protect data against unauthorised access. No Internet transmission can be guaranteed entirely risk-free.

Your rights

Subject to applicable conditions, you have rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. You may withdraw consent without affecting the lawfulness of previous processing. Email your request to our contact address; we normally respond within one month, subject to lawful extensions.

You may also lodge a complaint with CNIL or the competent supervisory authority in your country.
